Taylor Lautner to Endorse Filipino Apparel Bench is Fake PR stunt
I saw this news article on Philippine Star that Taylor Lautner is set to endorse Philippine apparel Bench. Since I’m not a big fan of Lautner or any twilight stars in particular, I knew that this news would be a big deal. Turns out that Ricky Lo is sadly mistaken. What’s worst is that Taylor Lautner’s Management isn’t too happy about the PR stunt and considers filing a case against Bench.
I was thinking that either Ricky Lo drank too much martini when he got the news or he got paid to make fake PR stunt to get some buzz going. For an established entertainment writer like Ricky Lo, it’s pretty dumb move to release news like that without verifying facts. If he continues to make stunts like that I’m sure he’ll end up writing for unsavory tabloid columns like Tiktik, Bandera and etc. I’m sure he’ll be welcomed by bottom feeders like Cristy Fermin.

MANILA, Philippines – Bench has followed in the footsteps of other local brands by hiring a Hollywood star to endorse its products. According to The Philippine Star entertainment columnist Ricky Lo, Bench tapped American actor Taylor Lautner to become its newest endorser.
Lo’s source, however, did not say if Lautner, who rose to fame by playing Jacob Black in “The Twilight Saga”, would model its shirts, pants or underwear. “Gossip Girl” actor Ed Westwick flew to the Philippines after Penshoppe hired him. Clothing brand Kamiseta has previously tapped Natalie Portman to endorse its products. Katie Holmes is its latest endorser.
