Party Pilipininas – Elmo Raps Eminem’s Love the way you lie

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

Check out Elmo and Julie Anne’s cover of Eminem and Rhianna’s “Love the way you lie” on Party Pilipinas. So far they totally nailed the song and Elmo was fantastic in this one. The interpretative dance for me was a damper. The dancers looks so awkward prancing around like a bunch of drunks. The end part was unexpected though. If they put on some gothic inspired clothing, maybe the dance would look appropriate.

Party Pilipinas in 3D

Sunday, June 20th, 2010

party pilipinas 3d

Party Pilipinas in 3D? I find it hard to believe at first, true enough the show is indeed in 3D. But only the introduction of the performers though. I’m still baffled though if the homemade 3D glasses would work. I’ll try to procure some colored cellophanes for that. Don’t count on the whole thing being in 3D. At least they tried, but it has yet to surpass the ASAP production number. Some viewers noticed the improvement of Party Pilipinas which is a good thing.

I like the performance of the XLR8, in fairness they don’t have this pa-cute vibe. At first I thought they’re a korean import. Anyway they still need to get rid of redundant performers if they want to surpass ASAP.

Party Pilipinas Deja Vu Swear

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

Party pilipinas fcken

Party Pilipinas loyal viewers are in for a surprise when the offending “F” word appeared as subtitle on the musical number “Deja Vu” as performed by La Diva and Jaya. Did a begrudged staff intentionally left the lyrics as is? Or maybe staff got lazy to edit it out when downloading the lyrics from the sites.

Some clever chap on pinoyexchange cleverly took a screenshot of the offending word on Party Pilipinas. However nobody hears a peep from MTRBC Chairman La Guardia. If that happens to be on ASAP or any ABS CBN show, for sure La Guardia will not hesitate to take out the “Ban Hammer”.

Party Pilipinas Glam Girls Versus ASAP IT Girls

Tuesday, April 13th, 2010

it girls-glam girls

Two girl groups battle it out on sunday variety shows. It’s Glam Girls of Party Pilipinas versus IT Girls of ASAP. So who do you think did it best? Even Ruffa Guttierez tweeted that the Glam girls has one miscast. I wonder who might that be?

Glam Girls Party Pilipinas Bad Boy’s Video

Party Pilipinas clumsily puts together four unremarkable starlets on the show who can’t sing nor dance. Their costumes doesn’t define what glamour is all about. Constipated dancing doesn’t help their performance and its painful to watch. Sad to say that dancers at Pegasus bar gives much more lively and classy performance than this so-called glam girls.

IT Girls ASAP Aprill 11, 2010 Video

IT girls have proven that they got what it takes to be an “IT girls”. While some of them don’t have the vocal skills, they compensate it with their fierce dancing moves. Girls with no talent definitely have no place in this group for sure.

Party Pilipinas – TV Musical Variety Show

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

party pilipinas

Party Pilipinas kicks off with what poised to be as a “Asia’s Party Central” with guest performers such as Korean K-pop group “U-kiss” and international choreographer “Fusion”. What supposed to be an extravagant musical variety show ends up coming up short.

So what happened? Things went messy with the inclusion of GMA’s untalented roster of talents who can’t sing and dance. Even internationally acclaimed choreographer Fusion’s magic failed to do wonders. To be honest, Tim Yap isn’t quite suited for variety show hosting. Even the U-kiss boys speaks better english than Tim. Dizzying camera angles just didn’t help improve the show. The show offered nothing new, it’s just rehashed version of SOP. Even the avid GMA viewers are fed up with the way Party Pilipinas is heading.

You can check out the pexers reaction to the show here:

Unsolicited advice to the producers of Party Pilipinas, bigger isn’t always better. If Party Pilipinas have a talent group of the same caliber as U-kiss, then the show might not have trouble getting good ratings. Let the pros do their own thing, we don’t need to see more amateurs give half baked performances.

The only best thing about Party Pilipinas is the guest performance of K-POP band “U Kiss” and Elmo Magalona rap to APL’s na “Going to the Philippines?”. The rest is ho-hum, in fact I’m rather dismayed that the international choreographer seems to have a hard time dancing.

U-kiss entertained filipino audience with their high energy dance moves. Also the extremely good looking boys were quite a visual treat.
