Filipina Actress Anne Curtis Gets a Star in Walk of Fame

I really have no idea how mediocre celebrity like Anne Curtis manages to not only get a recording album, blockbuster movie and now she even gets her own star in Walk of Fame. If I recall correctly, Kuya Germs promised Francis M his own star yet this senile old man decided to give it to the guy after his death.
Isa sa posibleng dahilan ng pagtanggi ni Pia ay dahil kung kailan wala na raw ang Master Rapper ay saka ito naisipang bigyan ng star sa Walk of Fame. Nauna pa raw kasi ang ibang mga baguhang artista na mabigyan ng star kaysa kay Francis na napakatagal na panahon ang inilagi sa industriya.

Now Kuya Germs keeps giving away the stars like they’re candies. I’m guessing that people that worship Anne Curtis are no better than people with maggots for brains.

The audience are in for a treat with Anne Curtis pole dance number at Showtime. Things went pretty well until she opened her mouth and sang her heart out to Adele’s “Someone like you” and Aerosmith’s “Don’t wanna miss a thing”. She butchered the song good. Her deaf tone voice has been a staple entertainment fodder. Oh well, whatever makes her and everyone happy. *Shrugs*

I never actually took Anne Curtis’ singing seriously until she tweeted that she’ll be recording an album. She tweeted,” Accepted na hindi ako singer pero hindi naman masama mangarap diba?”. I wouldn’t mind if she performs her mediocre talent in variety shows, private shows for her fans or anywhere for that matter. Releasing an album would mean serious marketing on Viva’s part. Radio stations would bombard every civilian’s ears with her off tune singing. How dumb of her to assume that majority of the population would worship the ground she walked on and would mindlessly buy that crappy album of hers. It took me a while to recover Judy Anne Santos “Patay na ipis” singing voice. Please Anne, just because you recorded an album, it gives you credibility as a singer. Stay away from the radio airwaves please por favor.

Richard Gutierrez and Anne Curtis were considered as one of the cutest couples in Philippine Showbiz way back in 2004. In defunct TV show “Magpakailanman” they played the role of Annabel Rama and Eddie Gutierrez. It’s not surprising that their roles fits them well like glove since they’re already in a relationship. Unfortunately their relationship ended after a year which left them both in tears.

Anne Curtis Biography
Anne Ojales Curtis Smith was born in Yarrawonga, Victoria Australia on February 17, 1985. Her mother is a Filipina named Carmen Ojales and her father is an Australian lawyer James Curtis Smith. Her muti-cultural background enabled her to speak Filipino, Pangalatok and English.
At the age of 13, Anne was discovered by a talent scout while having lunch with her family at restaurant called “Sa Bahay ni Lola”. Her pretty angelic face made her stand out among her showbiz peers. She was initially a Viva Entertainment Artist before she became an ABS CBN talent.
She has been active in several outreach programs and even volunteered in 2009 typhon Ondoy relief operations.

Anne Curtis and Sam Milby once again starred in a romantic comedy film “Babe I love you”. It’s undeniable that the two of them have “chemistry” which is essential in every romantic films. Despite that the two are no longer a couple, there’s something about them that gives the audience that “kilig” feeling. To be honest, I’m a bit miffed that Anne gets typecasted into this bad girl role. She already played a bad girl in her previous film with Aga Muhlach. For once I would love to see Anne in a nerdy or prim and proper getup. Anyway I’ll still catch the film on Cinema One.
Synopsis
Niccolo “Nico” Veneracion happens to be a university professor who values his reputation. Meanwhile Sandra “Sasa” Sanchez is a vivacious yet uncouth promo girl who gets what she wants. She’s definitely not the type of girl you would bring home to your mom. By some strange turn of fate, the two end up in an accident which brought them together. Their contradicting personalities put a strain into their relationship. Can they put aside their differences to make their relationship work?
