Filipino Director Wenn Deramas Offended by Alfonso Martinez Tweet
B-Movie Director Wenn Deramas was throwing a hissy fit at Alfonso Martinez tweet. I’m siding with Alfonso for stating the obvious. Obviously for Mr. Deramas, winning the best director at MFF instantly gives him the street cred that puts him in the same pedestal at the great Lino Brocka, Ishmael Bernal and etc. To call his movies slapstick is blasphemous.

Apparently to the magical MMFF grading system, the pinacle of Philippine cinema is a brainless, rehashed, slapstick movie that would be the laughing stock of any filmfest outside the Philippines, OH WAIT! In a true trashy manner, this uncouth director couldn’t help but feel defensive about his masterpiece.

Well Mr. Deramas, I’m pretty sure you toiled day and night making this cinematic garbage but it doesn’t mean that it’s diamond. Garbage collectors also toiled up days and night but it doesn’t mean their work is masterpiece. And what does this dude know about child rearing, as if he and DJ Durano can magically conjure up babies from his nads. By the way, nobody’s buying your crap Mr. D and by making such statements against the kid obviously shows where you’re coming from, the garbage pit.

I know tanging ina was very successful..
but i understand alfonso.. young adults after graduation are very idealistic.. i know it from experience.. they should evaluate the criteria for judging the mmff.. puro lang ba audience impact.? i think rosario was a very good movie, perhaps the best of the bunch..
if the team of rosario didn’t feel the appreciation of the mmff, they should know the audience applauded them for a great job..
siguro dapat hindi na lang sinabay sa mmff..
mas nabigyan pa siguro ng attention..

on the other hand, if you are a celebrity kid, you should always be aware of what you’re tweeting bcoz people read them. btw my friends said rosario movie is good, only bad direction.

just saw tanging ina. alfonso is right. it is trash and outright garbage. does not deserve to win any award!!! alfonso may have been brutal in his tweeter but he is telling the truth. and wendy, the truth hurts!!! your film sucks!

Tanging Ina was an entertaining movie, but lets be real. ITS STUPID! and giving the best movie and best director award to tanging ina is also plain STUPID. The whole premise of the movie is just moronic. Ai Ai’s (who was also the ex president of the country in this movie) cancer was cured because of happiness? I guess for Deramas, the thruth hurts. We know stupid when we see one, even if Rosario wasn’t at the lineup, I’d still give the award to someone else. RPG Metanoia or even Dalaw is more deserving than tanging ina.

I bet kung hindi si Alfonso ang sumulat nito, mga kaibigan nya? Ang kakapal nang mukha nyong mag-criticize di naman kayo marunong mag-direct, mag-scriptwrite, at kung anu-ano pa! Hindi na bata si Alfonso. Matanda na yon at PAL — PALAMUNIN NANG NANAY AT TATAY NYA!!!! Bakit sa director sya magagalit? Masama loob nya, manahimik sya and BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME!!!! Hindi porke’t mahusay na actor ang tatay nya, he’s going to be an effective director, too! Remember, it was his FIRST directorial job. He hasn’t proved anything yet! Hindi tanga ang mga jurors para ibigay ang award sa hindi deserving! INGGIT LANG KAYO!!!
