Filipino Concert King Martin Nievera Plans to Audition in US X-Factor
I kinda felt sorry for Martin Nievera that he tried so hard to achieve international stardom. He even plans to audition the US franchise of X-factor before he was asked to judge the local version of X-factor.He probably felt bitter that Charice Pempengco and Arnel Pineda achieved that fame. He should be grateful that he lasted this long in the music career. I sure wish he did push through his plans, I would love to hear what Simon has to say.
“Here’s a little footnote for you… Before I got this offer to be a judge, I was actually gonna audition for X-Factor in the States. Seriously,” sabi niya nang mapansing nabigla ang entertainment press sa kanyang ikinuwento.
“People think I’m crazy but how am I gonna get this kind of exposure, right?
“Okay, they call you the Concert King. What a title to have… to join a singing contest, you know.
“But at this point in my career, I feel my back story… every contestant has a back story, right, on the X-Factor.
“So my backstory is, at the age of 50… 50-year-old-singer… and they’re gonna do the research and see and, ‘Oh, they call you the Concert King. What the hell are you doing here?’ You know?
“Even at this age, as a singer, I still have not achieved international stardom. And this is my only chance.

Martin is a great singer and one of my favorites. He has lots of good songs but I never heard him sing grunge, rock, metal, broadway, opera so on so forth.. These types of contests cater to all types of music/type of singing/voice. If he does sing these different genres, his voice is still the same (POP BALLAD). I noticed these type of contests (AM.IDOL. UK.IDOL. BGT, AGT and so on..) you have to know and be the best of each genre to beat the song. I wish all the best for martin.
