Filipino Boy Band XLR8
I first heard about this group when it was posted by a fan at the pinoyexchange forums. At first I thought it was a Korean boy group, turns out its a pinoy boy band. The band is currently under the record label “P-Pop” sister label of Viva Records. The boys can sing no doubt but they were marketed as a pinoy K-pop group. Hopefully they’ll reinvent themselves as original group. But will they win over the skeptical audience?
Anyway the XLR8 P-pop Group will debut on March 28 on Party Pilipinas with their first single “You’re so Hot”.

This is weird. When Philippines attempted to make a huge girl band no one wanted them but when it’s boys… anyways we’ll see if they will last more than the girls’.
In terms of singing they can be pushed more.
Their choreography should be improved more, show not only isolations but some other complicated dancing as well as much as possible without being distracted from singing.

@Sabrina, usually the guys have girl fanbase especially when they’re good looking. For girl bands, they don’t get much attention from other girls. Usually they have to focus on getting guy fanbase like viva hotbabes.

well… i like XLR8. ok lang naman mga kanta nila, pero sana hindi na sila gumaya pa (in terms of style) sa kpop, jpop etc. magaling naman sila and i wish tumagal sila sa showbiz. go XLR8, kaya nyo yan!

PPop is only new right? Yes it’s true. It’s new. New and fresh. But, we, kumakapa pa lang tayo ng magagayahan. Kasi, wala pa tayo masyadong idea kung pano gumawa ng sariling atin. Pleaseee. Don’t blame them, they are being hurt too by FILIPINOS who don’t support anything in Philippines but support anything in OTHER COUNTRIES. See? We are KILLING OUR OWNSELVES. It’s been only a few days since then…
So the Filipino’s are trying to make girl and boy bands now, huh?
Making a girl group is hard, but a boy group..
Yeaa they get better support, I suppose.
Their popularity will go higher (maybe) if their hot, (same goes for girl groups) and have good and catchy songs and dance moves/choreography.
This will be interesting to see…

hey sa asap naman kayu. ang tagal nyu naman guess dun mas marami makakakila sa inyu abroad, mas maraming may tfc kesa sa pinoy tv.
share ko lang yung mga friends ko meron sila pinoy tv tapus meron pa silang tfc. hindi mawawalan ng tfc d2 ang mga pinoy.

Ahh… i had to admit na mahilig ako sa kpop because of a certain online game with korean musics, pero mas gusto ko naman iyong naiintindihan… gusto ko rin na tangkilikin ang sariling atin…
(Pang-bias lang) aanhin ko ang musikang maganda, kung hindi ko naman naiintindihan ang ibig nilang ipakahulugan… naniniwala kasi akong ang isang musika ay walang kuwenta kung hindi naman ito naiintindihan ng mga nakikinig… that is called “ingay” ^^V
so,i should say na,
“Gambate! keep up the good work, `wag kayong susuko. Pinoy tayo, eh. laban lang po nang laban… hindi naman maiiwasan na magcomment ng masama ang mga tao dahil, well, peace sa mga makakabasa na matatamaan. dahil nga hindi nila matanggap na mayroon na tayong sariling boyband na ipinantatapat sa mga koreans. and, oo nga pala, originality po talaga ang magandang ipakita sa mga tao para mabawasan ang mga magagalit sa inyo. okay naman ang songs n’yo, `wag lang masyadong gawing kpop.”

P-pop is new in the arena of music. So I hope that it’ll improve more and have a good foundation. And i am hoping that it’s not just fad, but will continually evolve.
I hope that they will train more filipino talents and master their craft.

It’s nice to know that XLR8′s nurturing P-pop and they’re trying their best to make it grow. Congrats! I just hope that they should be more careful with their songs, like their single, “You’re so hot.” A lot of people are taking it as a copy of Super Junior’s “Sorry Sorry,” especially the intro.
Anyway, I hope that they grow to become better artists. They have talent and potential. Just be careful next time, okay? More power to you guys.
